I would be sure to vacate by the forclosure date. I wouldnt pay anymore rent till I had something in writing from the attorney. It might take longer, or could be sooner. So, call a paralegal. Tell them your situation, and say u were thinking of hiring them to give u the paperwork needed to file a motion to stay in the house. Just play dumb, they will give u advice without knowing what they are doing. Been there done that. But, if it was me! I would just move. U will have to sooner or later anyway. Give him 30 days notice and move. You have to go anyway. The sheriff will come and throw you out at the end of the four months if you are not gone. Why are you paying the landlord pocket money?
