Where are good places to live in Florida for young people?

chefldawg asked:

Me and my girlfriend (23 and 21 ) moved to Florida from Maryland last September. Unfortunately we didn’t do much research and got stuck in a dead area called North Port. It’s pretty much an old head town where there isn’t anything to do fun wise and the job market is sucks. I was very “lucky” to get a job at home depot but I want to do real estate. We were told upon moving here there was plenty of jobs and places to go. Never knew we would have to travel an hour to get to these places. We moved down with no car but our luck has recently changed and we acquired an 89′ grand marquis, tho I’m sure its not really made to put up with the ware and tare of traveling 2 hours everyday to/from work. Our Lease is up soon and I was wondering if any young floridians know of the best areas for young people to live. Good job market, clubs, places to hang out, near beaches, good priced houses for rent. I’ve heard Orlando, Miami, and Daytona are nice, are there any diamonds in the rough out there?

Homes For Sale That Suit Your Needs

Peter Shukla asked:

Looking for homes for sale is especially lucrative right now, since the real estate market has slowed down quite a bit. Equipped with the right information and education, as well as sufficient funds, the opportunities are available to make a great amount of money in a very short time frame

Some people choose to sell and rent back their houses to get some quick cash. Although banks normally deal with people looking for properties to rent back in this way, an agent or real estate firm could do the job just as well and maybe even better.

Going with this option can be a risky move, though it can help to end a foreclosure or repossession of your home. By selling to a contractor, you may also be able to receive expensive repairs or upgrades to your home at absolutely no extra cost to you or your family.

There are many ways to search for the large number of listed homes for sale in your area. To start, you can peruse newspapers and local bulletin boards. Also, a great place to look for many homes for sale is on the internet – here you will have access to not just local real estate listings, but to listings all across the U.S. and even worldwide.

When people buy homes for sale, they usually do not move to another state or a different country. Some people find a home only a few miles away. Houses are easily found when you ask for help from your friends and family members. Also you should keep your eyes open and take a look around town for signs on the local bulletin boards in the library, church or park.

It is a buyer’s market right now. This gives the savvy buyer some advantages with current market situations. If the buyer knows what it is they want, and if they take the time to find the perfect house then they might be able to strike a better deal with the seller by negotiating the price.

Mother-in-Law Apartments Or Granny Flats

Pauline Go asked:

About 35 million senior citizens are residing in the U.S. whose average life expectancy is 77.9 years. This is going to increase further in the coming years due to the availability of better living conditions and improved health facilities. Providing accommodation to these senior citizens is one of the challenging aspects encountered by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. A mother-in-law apartment or house is a unique concept that has evolved as a probable solution to this kind of problem.

A mother-in-law apartment or a home can be aptly described as an accessory dwelling unit or a secondary suite that is associated with the primary residence. These sorts of dwelling units are primarily constructed with a separate entrance, kitchen, bathroom and a living area. The primary objective of constructing such a dwelling unit is to provide accommodation to an elderly relative who is unable to lead life on their own. Apart from being in close proximity to the near and dear ones, this concept also ensures maximum privacy and freedom to the senior citizens.

Several municipalities do not permit construction of a secondary suite since they are not originally included in the building plan and violate the district zoning regulations. However, there are certain municipalities that permit the construction of a mother-in-law apartment on the clause that these units should not be given on rent and must be occupied by an elderly relative.

Mother-in-law apartments or granny flats offer quite a number of advantages. An elderly person can take up the responsibility of a nanny, overseeing the general well being and security of the growing kids. They can also take a major role in house-hold management and important household responsibilities like receiving courier, or attending phone calls. Apart from these, mother-in-law apartments can also be used as a potential source of earning retirement income. The homeowner can himself move into the granny flat and rent out the main house. With the growing inflation, mother-in-law apartments also provide a money saving and economical alternative to independent living or assisted living facilities, both of which are quite expensive.

How To Rent An Orlando Vacation Home

Peter Kenny asked:

Now you wish to try an Orlando vacation villa for your forthcoming trip – what next?

If this is your first time trying the luxury of a holiday villa for your vacation the following tips and advice should make the whole process quite straightforward for you.

Once you have established how many people will be travelling with you on holiday, you then decide which size of villa will then best suit your requirements. You can choose from a 3-bedroom villa all the way up to 7 or more (for those travelling with several families). Most of the Orlando vacation villas are well within a 30-minute drive of Walt Disney World (many being even much less than that).

Confirm the dates and price…

The next step is to contact the owner directly to confirm they have your dates available and they will quote you a price for your length of stay. (Please not villa prices are always per villa per night or per week and NEVER per person.) This is the perfect opportunity to ask the owner any questions you may have about the villa, what it has to offer, its location, or anything else, which comes to mind. To proceed from this point you would pay the homeowner a deposit to secure your booking for those particular dates.

Every villa is privately owned so each one will have their very own terms and conditions. It is advisable to read these-as you would when booking any travel arrangements. Pay particular attention to their cancellation and refund policies in the event of any change in circumstances affecting any members of your party who are due to travel. Popular dates like Christmas and Easter can be booked almost year in advance, so none of us know exactly what is in store for us one year down the line. Do remember to pay any monies due (i.e. deposit/final balance) on time since failure to do so may result in losing your dates.

Time to get directions…

Closer to your departure date the balance of your payment is due. It is on receipt of this that the homeowner will issue you with travel directions to their specific rental villa and instructions on when and how to obtain keys to enter the villa. Many rental villas use a lockbox system and the owner will provide you with the access code before you go. Some owners still use a nearby management office where you can pop in to collect keys en-route to your vacation villa.

On arrival at your vacation villa, you will find plenty more information on all that Orlando has to offer you and your party during your stay, and we are SO confident you will be delighted with your Orlando vacation villa that you will wonder why you have never holidayed this way before and undoubtedly will be thinking ahead as to when you can do this again!

Having spoken to the homeowner when booking the villa and probably when balances were due, you may already have some rapport with them, so if you showed an interest in returning to their Orlando vacation rental at a future date, they may just offer you a discount on your next stay as a “thank-you” for returning to their home in the sun.

Real Estate Dearborn MI: Buy A Home With Bad Credit Or Discover How To Sell Yours Fast

Dan Ho asked:

If you are hoping to buy or sell real estate Dearborn MI is just one of many places where all options should be considered.

If your credit has been damaged, you may think that you cannot buy real estate Dearborn Michigan. But we’re here to tell you that you can with the help of experienced real estate investors like us.

On the other hand, if you are trying to sell, concerned about the sluggish market, frustrated with declining values and tired of waiting for a buyer, you should know that many prospective buyers are often overlooked. These are buyers who have bruised credit, but are good people. They have a steady job and can make monthly mortgage payments.

Hey, bad things happen to good people all the time. In this economy, many good people have bumpy credit but want to buy a home. As real estate investors, we know how to find buyers with bruised credit a place to call home at a price they can afford, and how to sell the homes of motivated sellers who are willing to work on terms.

Real Estate Dearborn MI: A Bit of History

Dearborn was the home of Henry Ford. It was the birthplace of the Ford Mustang. The Ford factory there still builds the F-150 pickup truck. It is the location of the Henry Ford Museum, the nation’s largest indoor-outdoor museum of American history, and the first million dollar high school, Fordson High. Culturally and ethnically diverse, the city has much to offer.

Not too many years ago, Dearborn had one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country. Now it has one of the highest. New jobs and new industry will eventually correct the problem, but many people will be left with lower credit scores, possibly for years, especially if they don’t understand how to repair them. The credit bureaus do not make any effort to delete old or inaccurate information, unless it is brought to their attention.

Real Estate Dearborn Michigan

Because of all the people with bruised credit, and because bank’s are tightening their lending standards, many good people who want the dream of homeownership cannot qualify for a traditional mortgage.

This seems ironic since so many people are also trying to sell their homes too. The key is that you must be willing to work on terms — that is, be truly motivated to sell, and you must tap into the large segment of the market of people who have jobs, but can’t get that bank loan and mortgage to buy your home.

This is where we step in as real estate investors and solve your problem of selling your house on terms, or finding you one to buy even if you have credit issues currently.

We employ the lease option strategy. The lease option is also called the rent to own, and it can be negotiated to suit all parties. Terms can be varied, as unique as the individual buyers and sellers.

The biggest advantage to the person with bruised credit is that while the bruises are healing, they are investing in their future. Most lenders advise that it takes at least a year to resolve even minor credit issues, but this is not necessarily the case. Talking to lenders can be very discouraging if you have problem credit, no matter the cause.

When it comes to buying real estate Dearborn Michigan is a good place to start looking. The median price for a home is around $160,000. But there are also many more affordable homes.

As real estate investors with unique programs and experience and connections, we are teamed up with investors in the state of Michigan who have done hundreds of lease options for sellers and buyers, allowing people to sell their homes, and tenant-buyers to buy one. We have the know-how and make the transaction work for you; we also handle all the paperwork for you. In short, we do it right.

If you want to buy real estate Dearborn MI, have a job, a small down payment and a little motivation, even if you have past credit issues, you can own your own home. As the economy improves in Dearborn, you will see the value of your home increase and your future will become more secure.

Just recently, the city officials were given the go-ahead to begin negotiations with a real estate development company interested in the Michigan Avenue area. The company’s unnamed tenant wants to move their corporate headquarters to Dearborn. If all goes well, within the next two years, this corporation will bring in more jobs and the employees who transfer with them will need places to live.

If you are looking for a home or real estate Dearborn Michigan is just one place to look. The techniques mentioned in this article work for us all over the state of Michigan and can help you buy or sell a home in almost any area you’d want to live in.

Houses to Rent in Ayr

Gwen Clarke asked:

The Royal Burgh of Ayr is situated on the Firth of Clyde in south-west Scotland, at the mouth of the River Ayr. Ayrshire’s principal town offers sea views, a calendar filled with activities for all and an upbeat atmosphere. Houses to rent in Ayr include many charming Victorian properties from the town’s prosperous past, as well as a variety of new builds.

Though Ayr expanded in the nineteenth century, with a busy port, a shipbuilding industry and iron foundries, it escaped the industrialisation of many other Scottish towns. As an attractive location within commuting distance of Glasgow, 32 miles away, demand for houses to rent in Ayr is constant, with house and rental prices rising accordingly.

South Ayrshire Council plans to build 200 affordable housing units per year in Ayr, in response to fears that young people will be forced to leave to live in cheaper areas. A number of affordable rental properties are being built in the social housing sector to ensure adequate housing stock for all in the town and surrounding areas.

Houses to rent in Ayr include luxurious developments, in scenic areas, that offer quality accommodation for discerning home-seekers. Homes with riverside locations or sea views are perennially popular. Rental properties in the town centre attract young professionals.

Also popular on Ayrshire’s ‘Golf Coast’ are developments close to the famous fairways that are one of Ayr’s big drawcards, for both residents and holidaymakers. The town’s main golf courses are Belleisle, Seafield and Dalmilling.

For commuters to Glasgow, Prestwick and nearby areas, public transport and local road networks may be a consideration when seeking rental homes. Public transport links Ayr to Glasgow, with a half-hourly rail service.

The town is also served by three principal roads. The A77 runs from Stranraer through Ayr to Glasgow, via Kilmarnock, while the A79 links Ayr to nearby Glasgow Prestwick International Airport. Edinburgh is 80 miles away on the A70 route.

Notable areas in Ayr include the village of Alloway, now a suburb of Ayr, famous as the birthplace of Robert Burns. Doonfoot, on the edge of Ayr, controversially, is not actually part of the burgh. It is an area worth exploring, since many new homes and facilities have been built here in recent years.

Ardent shoppers will find that Ayr meets most of their retail needs. Heathfield, also on the fringes of the town, is home to a large retail park, with branches of many of the UK’s major retailers, from supermarkets to DIY stores. Ayr’s modern industrial areas lie mainly to the north of the river.

Ayr has a number of educational establishments, with more than 20 primary and secondary schools. As well as an agricultural college, Ayr has a satellite campus of the University of Western Scotland, with new facilities under construction on the banks of the river. As well as campus accommodation, student houses are also available to rent from private landlords.

Houses to rent in Ayr can be found through the online classifieds or by online searches on websites advertising properties available from letting agencies and estate agents based in Ayr itself and across Scotland.
